Nice photos, but I gotta tell you something:

It was a real thrill seeing her in person!

Thanks, good buddy, I enjoyed our 4 Solstice Meet Friday!

My best wishes to your wife.

I drove her 700+ miles home from Georgia so she is well broken in. Now has almost 1200 miles on her.

The car is VERY strong, and has very long legs. She wants to cruise at 85, and passing on a 2 lane is no longer an issue. 50-100 is a blink. There literally is NO comparison to the performance of the base Solstice in a stright line.

Now in the twisties, I am not sure yet. We ran some serious stuff last Friday and when we were done I actually commented that I felt my base Solstice might have run them better. Of course I was still tentative with a 4 day old car, and had never driven that specific run before. 3 months fron now - who knows.

You are going to love your car. Enjoy.

Well Giz it was a pleasure to meet you as well. Bet you are REAL happy to be back in Texas after the weather we had while you were here. Of course the cool may have been pleasant after the Texas summer.

Get MARiSOL out of the bodyshop, and back on the twisties. Oops forgot you are from Texas, no twisties - just loooooong straight dusty roads. And Road Runners, and Opossum on the half shell.

Take Care.

Thanks for sharing that photo, 6211221, I've added it to my photos of the meet, which I'm preparing for posting in a new thread shortly.

CONGRATULATIONS on selling your 2006. Who bought it? Wouldn't it be cool if it was that couple we were talking with at the rest stop????

Nah - I traded it and Debs 2004 Deville for a 2007 Cadillac DTS Luxury II. She puts up with my crap, and has for almost 31 years, so she deserved a new car as well.

Oh, are you leaving Shawn? (or is it Shaun, how is it spelled? I hate to make little mistakes. I much prefer the huge mistakes!)

If memory serves me right it is spelled Shawn. Memory doesn't serve as well as it use to though.
