Here It Comes!!! Solstice Is Shipping!!

TC Buzz: Solstice starts shipping

Automotive News / August 01, 2005

Pontiac will ship the first batch of 2006 Pontiac Solstice roadsters to dealers on Wednesday. Dealers can sell the car as soon as it arrives, said Mark Reuss, General Motors’ executive director of vehicle architecture and GM Performance Division, at the Management Briefing Seminars.

Reuss said that in spite of media reports, there was no delay in shipping the Solstice to dealers.

He said that there were no last-minute problems with the Solstice and that the program will be profitable for GM.

I just sold my Trans Am last weekend. I now have $20,500 more in the bank account :bouncy:

I hope there are some Solstices in Minnesota soon so I can see them in person. I wonder if there will be any dealer mark-ups?

I'm also considering....

1998 BMW M-Roadster
2000-03 Honda S2000
2004-05 Mazdaspeed Miata (new 05's are $3500 below MSRP around here)

decisions, decisions :D

GM is saying that they don't want ANY markup on these cars. I would assume that means
you have a good bargaining chip in your corner.

That is really good news.. for the people who are planing to buy one..

Do not have a vin# yet. Ordered mine from a dealer in Michigan who had been allocated 15. I am one of the 15 allocation. Looking like middle of October for me.
