Sorry, my friends. My mechanic is unable to complete the ram-air filter assembly nor can he complete the installation of the new gauges. I'm lucky to get the car for my trip to Florida tomorrow. :eyebrow: No ECM retune on the dyno yet, either.

I will post photos of her new appearance, probably from a hotel room in Florida this weekend.

Upon my return he promises to complete the job.

What the heck?? He's had her for like 4 months now. :eyebrow:

Pretty close. 37 days with him, plus 4 days before that at DeMontrond Pontiac, so tomorrow makes 6 weeks since the small accident.

Now he says by 10 AM tomorrow. I pick up the car, drive it a little ways for lunch, if everything is working well, I hit I-10 eastbound for Florida.

That really sucks Norman. I know how hard it is to be without her. I hope that you can get everything figured out so you two can hit the road together once again.

Thanks, Solstice Chica.

If you're not getting the house you planned on, I suppose you're about ready for the Solstice mods, eh? We'll talk when I get back from Florida.

At least you'll get a little drive time in. Have a safe trip to Florida and take care of the rest when you get back.

Giz,

You be careful out there! We have had three fatal auto accidents in the last 48 hours here in Lubbock. :( Watch yourself and others. I want to see you on the 19th in Houston! :hat:

Thanks, Byron! It's nice to have friends who care. :bouncy:

I'm really liking this forum over here, nothing but nice people having a good time!

There's a nice meet over in Arizona that weekend, too. This country is so beautiful and we have great Solstice owners all over the country!

OUCH! That really hurts!

I'm not going to return to this forum.

I'm going to sell that Solstice and get an SUV.

And every Solstice I see, I'm just going to run over it!

Let's see, how do I get to College Station?

There was a meet that we had once where Chica was doing just that...!
Has anyone seen the picture of the bookstore in College Station during the hurricane last year?
They boarded up the windows from the inside of the store.
Wow.

And... if you read the text below the picture, you find that it was done knowingly and purposefully as the building design (probably an engineer from TxTech  ) did not allow nor support placement on the outside. The decision to place the plywood inside was to simply keep glass out of the store, assuming that Katrina was going to be sever enough to break the glass (via pressure drop) even with the plywood in place.

You all are too dang funny..

I'd never seen the pic before. It was hilarious. And as Chemist pointed out, they do tell why they did it that way. And I hate to admit it, It does make sense.

Guess I don't have the brain of an engineer, but I showed it my husband and he thought it made sense!:)
