Just wondering, are things ususally this slow around here, or is it just the season?
Glad to be here though!

Well, we hope things will continue to grow around here. Can't grow without word of mouth
though. Gotta keep those new people coming in. Welcome to the forums. Make sure
you post up some good pictures when your new car arrives!!

Well this like any other site will grow with its members. It is slow right now because the word really hasnt gotten out on the cars yet. In time this site will hopefully BLOW up and get alot of aftermarket support for the car and we will be like supermen!

LOL... i just hope that the "im 17, know it all, and can beat you with my civic on NOZ.... no really i saw it happen on 2fast2furious!" crowd doesn't kill this like what happened to the SRT-4 with its owners.... well atleast some of them...
Just hope that the aftermarket is big, but not ricey... so that we may be seen to fit in well with the muscle car groups.... and not as a joke...

As with most of the motorsports; there are always various groups of enthusiasts. As a Certified Parts Professional, I can honestly say here that the group of enthusiasts that you speak of are some of the most dedicated car nuts out there. Sure they can be quite opinionated as some of their forefathers are; be it Hot Rodders (50's) Bracket Racers (60's) Muscle Heads (70's) Factory Kings (80's 5.0's, GNX,Monte SS') and their own group (Tuners).
The Tuners; at least in my area are some of the largest investors in their equipment for their vehicles. In my profession, I deal with a large crosshatch of DIY's and motorheads. The Tuners are leading in the amount of $$$ they drop at our trade stores. They know what they want and easily spend the capital to get it.
Certainly the Solstice will most likely appeal to those in my demographic (70's-80's Muscle Heads/Factory Kings) since we're looking for an affordable factory fun car that could be modded to our own desires if we should ever wish.
If the Tuner crowd decides to join in, I'd welcome them. Just more Solstii??? Soltices' on the road. What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with that.... im just talking about the idiots with 15' wings, hp adding stickers and ground effects....
Either way... that might be true were you are... but down here in Miami, FL. i've had a guy in a Civic call my Camaro a Corvette and then argue with me about it, while screaming at me that his car runs 8's from factory  .... (probably in the 60' LOL....) Thats the type idiots that we have to put up with down here... and i really don't want to fall into this group when i get my car...

I don't think the Solstice will have the following the Civic or SRT4 did mainly because of the production numbers and its fuctionality... its not really a grocery getter or for driving around with 3 or 4 of your friends.
But thats probably a good thing.
