......hyping the Solstice. First time I've gotten one of these e-mails on that car. All they do is forward you to:

Still talking $20K, 170 hp, 18-inch wheels

Thanks for the link. I really liked this line:

"Estimated starting manufacturer's suggested retail price around $20,000"

A bit non-comittal, maybe? :) I think they should have put a few more qualifiers in there:

"Preliminary estimated initial starting suggested retail price range approximately around $20,000, give or take."

Don't get me wrong, I'm optimistic that they'll make their price target, I just found all those qualifiers amusing.

Oh man... for the next year and a half I am gonna be hoping I can get one, even just a base model. My credit sux, but I hope to have a reasonable downpayment by then. Still, the more over $20k it goes, the less chance I'll have of getting it.

I wonder if they have a referral program. How many customers would I have to bring them in order to get mine free? :)

....if you don't have the 20 grand, don't worry, you can ALWAYS buy one of my prizewinning pre-owned Miatas, and enjoy trouble free touring with the wind in your face, for lots less!

The GTO's were a little more than what was originally the target price.

I Estimate the solstice will be around $22,000, but don't take my word for it, heh.
