This is a picture that I saw at http://carspyshots.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=new&action=display&num=1073077139

There is a slight change from concept to production. The only change that I really notice was the headlight. Other then that, I heard that there won't be a supercharged version of the solstice for 2006 and I hadn't heard anything on the coupe. You will probably have to wait until a 2007 for the surpercharged GXP version. Pontiac might be only getting the roadster only, while Saturn gets the 2-seat coupe version.

Looks good.Does that mean the 240 HP version won't come out when production starts? Or is their something I haven't heard.Guess we'll find out tomorrow.I think it would be to underpowered with say the 140 HP engine.

yeah, a guy that I know had already seen the embargoed information. He stated that to expect the Solstice to perform more like the Miata rather then the Honda S2000. At least until the GXP version comes out later.

I've been trying to keep my expectations realistic since GM seems to be emphasizing cost over performance. The Cobalt will have 140 HP, 170 HP and an approx. 200 HP supercharged engine.

I'm hoping the Solstice will start with the 170 2.4 L as the base engine. That should give it better HP and torque than the Miata. If they can keep the weight down it should have decent performance. Hopefully they will then offer the supercharged engine (and maybe pump a few more ponies out of it) by the next model year.

I think the 140 HP engine would be a real disappointment, If that's all we've got to start.

I've got my Z4. If they do unveil a 240 HP car tomorrow, I'll probably be kicking myself, but their comments and the available engines have made me think that the Z4 will likely outperform the Solstice for at least a few years.
